Cognitive/Behavioral Skills for Probation Staff, 8 hours

STC: 0920-070900

Cognitive/behavioral treatment methods have been proven to be effective. Some staff know how and why cognitive/behavioral treatment works. Outside partners and service providers are delivering some of these services, but using these strategies in the field, and facilities by staff may support and strengthen impact on outcomes. Although theory is covered, this course is more geared toward skill practice. This course also addresses criminal thinking errors and common negative thought patterns. Real-world scenarios are practiced and probation staff receive feedback from the instructor and their co-workers.
