Changing Roles- The Shift from Line Staff to Supervisor, 8 hours (sworn & non-sworn)
This course focuses on change and the changing roles line staff experience as they move to management. Often when line staff promote, they find themselves in the new experience of supervising peers. This course offers the opportunity to discuss, explore, and learn ways to deal well with this change. Additionally, new and seasoned supervisors learn strategies to make their team more effective; the focus is on leadership skills rather than simply “managing people.” This course provides supervisors skills to excel in their role.
