In this course learners fully examine their stress levels and stress management styles and techniques. According to the National Institute of Justice, understanding the causes of stress and its adverse effects are an important first step in tackling the realities of self care. Participants learn strategies to maintain wellbeing despite ongoing job-related trauma and stress. Self-care is a protective factor in preventing correction fatigue. This course teaches practices and strategies adding real-world tools to the POs self-care toolkit.
