Senate Bill 823 Juvenile Justice Realignment

new course

A major goal of Juvenile Justice Realignment is to create a more community-based approach to juvenile justice, with a focus on providing rehabilitation and support services that would help youth offenders reintegrate into society and avoid future involvement in the justice system. The bill also aims to reduce the disproportionate representation of youth of color in the juvenile justice system. In this course, attention is paid to reflecting on systemic racism and lack of equity in the judicial system.
