Lawrence Franco

Lawrence Franco is a retired juvenile hall supervisor with 18 years of experience from Placer County Probation. He was the lead defensive tactics instructor and OC instructor for Placer. He was an Academy Coordinator/Instructor at Yuba College for 19 years. He instructed the following: Juvenile Probation Core, Adult Corrections Core, Basic Police Academy, Requalification Police Academy, Corrections Academy, SIBC Academy, and 832PC. Mr. Franco labored to create the development and reinstatement of the Corrections Academy at Imperial Valley College in northern California in which he was the lead Instructor and consultant. Mr. Franco has also taught the following: 832PC Laws of Arrest, Professionalism, and Ethics, Impact Weapons, Verbal Defensive Tactics, Chemical Agents, Advanced Ground Control, Cell Extraction, and assistant instructor 832PC Firearms. In addition, Lawrence successfully teaches security guards and supervisors at San Pablo Lytton Casino as their lead defensive tactics Instructor for the last 16 years.
